Marching Monk came about after our realization that a band's success is most often determined before they ever take their first step onto a band camp practice field. Design is a crucial element in the process: an average band with a great show has more opportunities for a desirable outcome than a great band with an average show, whether the "judges" are of the type speaking into a tape recorder, or those enjoying the reverie of a cold Friday night football game.

What is "great design?" First and foremost, the intent must be clear -- in every phrase, every measure, every beat. Secondly, that clarity of intent must be delivered in a vehicle that is fresh, innovative, creative, and custom-tailored to highlight the strengths of your band. Finally, the design must ultimately inspire one simple word in the mind of the viewer: "Wow!"
